January 31, 2010-Super Bowl Sunday isn’t just about football! The big game has become the hottest event of the year for TV advertisers, with companies spending close to $3 million per 30-seconds during the game. To augment your coverage of Super Bowl XLV, here is a preview of an ad for SNICKERS®.
In a move sure to satisfy Super Bowl advertising fans, Mars Chocolate North America announced its SNICKERS Brand will continue its successful “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” campaign with a new television commercial that will air during the third quarter of Super Bowl XLV.
The spot, called “Logging,” features comedic icons Richard Lewis and Roseanne Barr. Lewis and Barr prove that “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” and remind consumers that SNICKERS continues to satisfy hunger. Other icons who’ve appeared in the campaign include Betty White and Abe Vigoda.
The new commercial, which was created by BBDO New York, also includes a series of print and digital advertisements featuring Lewis and Barr. Lewis will also play a starring role in a bonus interactive experience on the SNICKERS YouTube page that will launch in concert with the television ad during the Super Bowl.
