Diabetes is a growing epidemic effecting nearly 26 million americans, but according to crystal bowersox, runner up on american idol season nine and one of today’s most talented new artists, it doesn’t have to prevent you from living your life. at age six, Crystal was diagnosed with diabetes. though she is managing the disease well today, she’s had some close calls including one while on the show.
