ANNOUNCER:
Today’s seniors are calling for family reunions and relationships to stay active and pursue well-being. According to a Humana and National Council on Aging survey, almost 90 percent of seniors feel re-vitalized when they spend time with family. And more than two-thirds of seniors are exercising for 30 minutes or more at least three times a week. To expand your family’s options for health and well-being activities, Lynn Beattie from the National Council on Aging suggests visiting a multi-generational playground.
lynn beattie, NATIONAL COUNCIL ON AGING:
“Multi-generational playgrounds, such as ones being built by Humana and KaBOOM!, are great places to experience senior-focused fitness stations. Such playgrounds feature a variety of exercises that promote healthy aging by focusing on strength, balance and flexibility. These playgrounds will also create family reunion gathering areas for years to come.”
ANNOUNCER:
multi-generational playgrounds will be built in eight cities this fall. Families across the country can enter to win a custom KaBOOM! playground near their neighborhood by entering the “Build a Family Legacy” sweepstakes on Humana dot com slash family before november 30. I’M LEE SHEPHARD.
