Just Like People, Dogs Now Have an Interactive Tool that Helps Their Owners Understand the Right Balance of Nutrients Needed for a Proper Diet and How that Translates to the Dog Food Label
September 13, 2011- According to a recent survey conducted by petMD, 80% of dog owners have the misconception that nutrition for dogs and humans is similar, with 88% of owners selecting dog foods and human foods in the same way. Recognizing that dog owners need help, petMD and Hill’s Pet Nutrition have partnered to develop MyBowl for dogs, a first of its kind interactive tool that puts dog nutrition in human terms.

- Visually demonstrate how human nutritional needs compare to the nutritional needs of dogs by showing a balanced dog diet versus a balanced human diet
- Bring to life the interactive MyBowl tool and the specific benefits each nutrient delivers for dogs
- Demonstrate how to use the MyBowl tool to read dog food labels and identify whether a dog food is properly balanced
- Introduce the new Dog Nutrition Center on petMD.com, a new information source including a Nutrition Blog, slideshows, articles and more
