October 25, 2010 – Each year, Disney’s Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine brings 100 U.S. high school students to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for an immersive 4-day program of career workshops and mentoring – introducing students to leaders in fields as diverse as entertainment, engineering, fashion, sports and publishing.

Nominations for the 2011 Disney’s Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine close in just a few days--October 31, 2010. Comedienne/Actress Sherri Shepherd (The View, Precious) a presenter for the 2010 Disney’s Dreamers Academy, saw first-hand how it makes a difference in a young person’s life, and wants to make sure students in need in your community know about this one-of-a-kind opportunity.

Disney’s Dreamers Academy encourages students to realize the power of their dreams, exposes them to career opportunities, and equips them with tools to succeed. Only a few days remain to nominate a high schooler who could benefit from the program.
