SOUNDBITE:
Parents often forget why it’s important to get kids involved in chores – it’s not just about cleaning. Chores teach kids responsibility, team work, and the importance of contributing. Start early encouraging your kids to take an active role in helping around the house. Make cleaning fun and quick by instituting a five-minute clean-up. Set clear deadlines and use reminders like job charts. And don’t forget to acknowledge the great job your kids do.
