Dear PSA Director:
One in three women will get cancer in her lifetime. Let’s change the odds. This May celebrates the first anniversary of the American Cancer Society Choose You® movement, which empowers women to take charge of their health and put themselves first.
More than half of cancer deaths could be prevented if people maintained a healthy weight through diet and regular exercise, avoided tobacco products, and got recommended cancer screening tests. The Choose You movement encourages women to make their own health a priority, and it supports them by providing advice and simple tools to eat right, be active, get regular health checks, quit smoking, and use sun protection. The movement empowers women with information and resources to take care of themselves first, so they can ultimately better care for their families and serve as healthy role models for those around them.
To spread the word, the American Cancer Society has partnered with Poptent, a community of filmmakers, to develop a unique crowd-sourced public service announcement. Please consider including the 30 second PSA in your broadcast schedule to educate and inspire women everywhere to choose to put their health first to help reduce their cancer risk and potentially add years to their lives.
For more information, please go to www.ChooseYou.com to learn about making a commitment to a healthier lifestyle and encourage your loved ones to do the same. Together, we have the power to help prevent cancer.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,

Terry Music, Chief Mission Officer
American Cancer Society
