ANNOUNCER:
ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S GO RED FOR WOMEN MOVEMENT CELEBRATES ITS 9TH ANNUAL NATIONAL WEAR RED DAY.
“GO RED” ASKS WOMEN TO UNCOVER THE TRUTH ABOUT HEART DISEASE AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THE NUMBER ONE KILLER OF WOMEN BY WEARING RED ALL DAY.
HERE’S CARDIOLOGIST DOCTOR SUZANNE STEINBAUM:
DR. SUZANNE STEINBAUM:
“More women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. While some 8 million women in the U.S. are living with heart disease, only one in six believes that heart disease is her greatest health threat. Help us raise awareness of this health threat by participating in Go Red For Women events, wearing red on National Wear Red Day and visiting Go Red For Women dot org to learn more about the risks of heart disease and be sure to share what you learn with the women you love.”
ANNOUNCER:
DR. STEINBAUM ALSO RECOMMENDS VISITING THE GO RED FACEBOOK PAGE TO SHARE YOUR EFFORTS TO GO RED AND TO WATCH THE GO RED SHORT FILM “JUST A LITTLE HEART ATTACK” DIRECTED BY AND STARRING ACTRESS ELIZABETH BANKS.
